Cin7 Core integrations and subscription add-ons

Application integration enables independently designed platforms, software, and services to work together, sharing the right information in the right direction. B2B and B2C sales inherently involve multiple processes – manufacture, supply chain management, inventory management, customer relationship management, and more – and most modern organizations make use of multiple services to efficiently manage their order flow. At Cin7 Core, we are committed to providing integrations with other platforms in our customers' business ecosystem.

New integrations are regularly added by our development team and we encourage customer feedback for us to refer to when planning our roadmap and choosing which services to integrate with next.

In this article, we'll explain the different services that support integration with Cin7 Core, how you can connect with them, and what kind of subscription add-on is required (if applicable).

How subscription add-ons work

Cin7 Core has a wide range of customers whose businesses have different sizes and requirements. To ensure everyone gets the closest match to what they need, we offer several base subscription plans (Standard, Pro, and Advanced) with the ability to add-on extra users, POS registers, external integrations, and more, beyond what is included in the plan itself. Please see here for up to date pricing information.

Integrations with other services such as eCommerce channels and shipping services usually require a Connection subscription add-on. In this article, each integration is listed with what kind of subscription add-on it requires to be connected.

New add-ons can be added to your subscription by the master user of the account, by going to the My subscription page.

From this page you will be able to view your subscription information and current capacity. Clicking Add items will take you through to where you can adjust your subscription package, make payment, and apply changes.

Legacy customers

We value our customers who have grown with us from our earliest days. As we expand our offerings and new features, our pricing structures and fees may change, but we endeavor that these increases do not pass on to legacy customers.

Connecting with...

Cin7 Core has many purpose-built integration with popular payment processors, eCommerce channels, and more. Other platforms have also built their own integrations with us, which can be connected via our API interface. Finally, you can use our API interface and documentation to build your own, custom integrations.

Native integrations

Most of our integrations with other platforms are purpose-built, directly connecting the two services to share information. Most of these use OAUTH for access delegation when connecting, granting Cin7 Core access to the other platform's information. In some cases, you will need to retrieve a secret key/API key from the other platform and enter it in Cin7 Core to connect the services. Instructions for how to connect to each integration is provided by following the link to the documentation for that integration. Connecting to an integration in this way requires a Connection add-on to your subscription, one per connection.

Third-party integrations

Some platforms have built integrations with Cin7 Core from their side, which can be connected via the Cin7 Core API interface. For these platforms, you will typically have to generate an API key from Cin7 Core and input this into the other platform - instructions are provided in the documentation for each page. In some cases, you will need to contact the other platform's sales team to initiate this process. Connecting to an integration in this way requires a Connection add-on to your subscription, one per connection.

API interface

Cin7 Core API enables you to extend and customize your system as your needs evolve, connect to applications or create your own. Our API documentation can be found here.

Cin7 Core also offers our Flex API add-on, with 600 allowed requests per minute per connection, which is better suited for clients processing high volumes of sales.

Integrations list

Accounting software

Cin7 Core can be operated as a standalone system where accounting transactions are recorded within the software, or can be integrated with Xero or QuickBooks Online. This is included in the base package and does not incur any additional subscription or transaction fees. Compatible with new and existing Xero/QuickBooks accounts, and can be integrated during sign-up with Cin7 Core or with existing Cin7 Core accounts.

Cin7 Core applications

We offer several additional solutions to extend Cin7 Core functionality and support specific areas of your business. This includes dedicated sales channels for point-of-sale and B2B, or mobile applications for warehouse and manufacturing operations on the go.

B2B portal

Cin7 Core's B2B eCommerce Portal enables your business customers to browse and order from your catalog 24/7, or for your sales reps to make orders on their customers' behalf.

Cin7 Core B2B portal is a special add-on to the base subscription, of a different type to other external integrations. B2B portals are added to the base subscription on a per-portal basis.

Point of sale

Point-of-sale (POS) systems allow merchants to sell their stock from their store, retail, or any other location. Cin7 Core syncs your product catalog, stock levels, and sale orders between your POS stores and your main inventory via our dedicated POS application or via your internet browser. Organize staff, track sales volume, make sales from any device, and more with Cin7 Core POS cloud-based suite of features.

Cin7 Core POS is an add-on to the base subscription, of a different type to other external integrations. Purchasing the add-on will unlock a POS store, outlet, and register. Organizations with Pro or Advanced subscriptions can purchase additional POS registers, which can all belong to one store or store, or be distributed among multiple stores.

Warehouse management system (WMS)

Warehouse Management System (WMS) is Cin7 Core's user-friendly warehouse management mobile app, where you can direct users to pick, pack, restock, put away, lookup stock and more. Sync information automatically between the application and Cin7 Core to keep stock levels always up to date between your warehouses and your office.

All Cin7 Core plans include Standard WMS features, however, subscribers to Advanced WMS have some additional features to enjoy. Advanced WMS is available for subscribers to Cin7 Core Pro and Advanced plans.

Manufacturing execution system (MES)

Cin7 Core's user-friendly MES application is part of the Advanced Manufacturing module and requires an add-on to your base subscription. MES allows users to carry out the following actions directly from their workstation or device:

  • View production tasks that have been assigned to them.

  • Start, suspend, and complete operations

    • Track actual time elapsed in an operation

    • Specify output location

    • Specify batch/serial # and expiry date of finished products

    • Enter actual produced and wastage quantities

  • Consume components

    • Edit operation components and resources to reflect actual quantities

  • View notes and attachments

    • Add notes and attachments for production operations

  • Put away finished products

    • Pick finished products and components from shopfloor work centers

    • Put away picked items to any organization location

Actions executed in the MES application are passed to Cin7 Core to initiate stock movements and accounting transactions for production orders, production run, capacity planner, and scheduler.

Payment

Cin7 Core Payments is Cin7 Core's own payments platform, designed to let your customers pay for their transactions with ease. Cin7 Core Payments complies with PCI standards, uses TLS 1.2 encryption for both transaction and checkout, and works with all invoices generated in Cin7 Core. The platform is especially handy if you are using Cin7 Core B2B Portal.

This payments platform does not require an add-on to the base subscription, however a transaction fee is charged upon payment.

Cin7 Core Payments is currently available in Australia with availability in the United States planned for 2024.

eCommerce

Cin7 Core has native integrations with the most widely-used eCommerce channels, facilitating inventory management across your connected sales channels, wherever you make your sales. New eCommerce integrations are regularly added by our development team and we encourage customer feedback for us to refer to when planning our roadmap and choosing which channels to add next.

Our eCommerce integrations typically capture customer and sale information from the channel and import them to Cin7 Core, updating stock levels between the two platforms. Other features, such as capturing returns information or bi-directional sync, are available for some channels but not others. Please see documentation for each eCommerce channel for more detailed information.

Cin7 Core integrates with numerous payment processing platforms, working with your existing business ecosystem to reduce points of friction for your customers. New payment processing integrations are regularly added by our development team and we encourage customer feedback for us to refer to when planning our roadmap and choosing which to add next.

Our native integrations with payment processing platforms do not require an external integration subscription add-on, however, each processor has its own pricing structure with regards to monthly fees and transaction fees.

Third-party solutions which connect via API to Cin7 Core require an API add-on.
