Synder

Synder is an accounting platform focused on e-commerce. It connects sales platforms (like Shopify, Stripe, Amazon or Etsy), payment processors, and your accounting systems, reconciles your payments, and syncs transaction information to QuickBooks Online.

When another platform takes care of synchronizing your sales with QuickBooks, you can turn sync from Cin7 Core to QuickBooks off for a particular sales channel. Synder returns the reconciliation information to Cin7 Core, so you have a clear view of which sales and transactions have been synced with QuickBooks and which have not.

You won't need a connection add-on in Cin7 Core for this integration and there is no extra charge to your subscription, it is enabled automatically for QuickBooks Online users.

Prerequisites

  • Connect QuickBooks Online as your accounting integration in Cin7 Core.

  • Sign up with Synder. Once signed up, the Synder team will need your organization details so they can activate reconciliation with Cin7 Core.

    • Connect your QuickBooks account and sales channel (Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, etc.) accounts with Synder. See Synder's video instructions here.

    • Connect your payment processors, such as Stripe, with Synder. Shopify payment method Shop Pay is automatically connected.

    • Select Per transaction synchronization mode in your Synder sales channel settings, for each connected sales channel.

    • Turn off Inventory management in your Synder sales channel settings, for each connected sales channel.

Reconcile transactions between Cin7 Core, QuickBooks, and sales channels

You are now ready to sync transactions between your sales channels, Synder, QBO and Cin7 Core and get them automatically marked off as reconciled in Cin7 Core.

  1. Download orders from your sales channel to Cin7 Core as normal. This can be manual or automatic.

  2. Authorize the invoice in Cin7 Core. This will set the transaction as Pending and allow it to be synced to QuickBooks.

  3. Sync Synder with the sales channel and QuickBooks Online. This can be manual or automatic.

  4. Sync Cin7 Core and QuickBooks Online manually or automatically. This will send Cin7 Core the message from Synder that the transactions from this order have been reconciled. Now the sales channel, Cin7 Core, Synder, and QuickBooks are all in sync, the sales and payments are reconciled in QuickBooks, and the transactions are marked as reconciled in Cin7 Core.
