Import and export production BOM
Use CSV files to import and export production BOM details without manually creating a BOM step by step.
Before you start
Advanced Manufacturing must be included in or added on to your subscription.
You should have created at least one production BOM.
Import a production BOM
You can create or update a production BOM for an already existing product by uploading a CSV file with the production BOM information.
Select Inventory from the main menu, then Products.

Select Import then Production BOM.

Download the production BOM CSV template and fill it in with your information. You can expand the Field specifications to get more information about each column heading. Do not change the column headings, or it will cause errors during the import.
Upload the updated CSV file to import it into Cin7 Core.
Export and edit production BOM details
Production BOMs can be exported in one CSV file where they can be edited in bulk to save time. The updated CSV file is then imported into Cin7 Core.
Select Inventory from the main menu, then Products.
Select Export then Production BOM to export a CSV file of all existing production BOMs from Cin7 Core.
Make the required changes to the CSV file and save it.
Click Import then Production BOM to upload the updated information.
Remove components from a production BOM
The line items on a production BOM can be deleted individually or in bulk by editing the CSV file. The updated file is then imported into Cin7 Core. The line items to be deleted must contain the word Delete in the Action column.
Select Inventory from the main menu, then Products.
Select Export then Production BOM to download your current production BOMs.
Open the CSV file and find each line for the components you want to remove.

In the Action column for each of those lines, enter Delete. If left unchanged, Cin7 Core assumes Create/Update.
Save the CSV file.
Select Import then Production BOM and upload the saved file.
