Forecast adjustments
Historical data can't account for everything — a planned promotion, a known seasonal spike, or a period of unusual demand you want to exclude.
Forecast adjustments let you override ForesightAI's sales forecast with your own knowledge so that smart reorder suggestions account for what you actually expect to happen.

Manage adjustments
You can create, review, and delete adjustments on Manage adjustments. All active adjustments are listed here:
Go to Purchases > Smart Reorder.
Open Sales forecast.
Click Forecast adjustments > Manage adjustments.
Create adjustments
Open Manage adjustments.
Click Create new adjustment and choose a type: Change by %, Set % trend, or Change quantity.
Configure and save the adjustment.
You can also create an adjustment directly from the Forecast adjustments menu on the sales forecast graph.
Configure change by % and set % trend
Change by % adjustments apply a fixed percentage increase or decrease across some period of time — for example, +15% during a sale event or -20% during a slow month.
Set % trend adjustments apply a cumulative percentage change that compounds each month. Use this when demand is expected to grow or decline gradually over time rather than shift all at once.
To configure either adjustment type, enter the following details:
Location — the locations where the adjustment applies
Category — the product category to apply the adjustment to
Product — the specific product to apply the adjustment to
From / To — the period when the adjustment applies
Amount — the fixed or cumulative percentage value of the adjustment
Note — an optional description
Then select Save.
Configure change quantity
Change quantity adjustments let you adjust each product's demand forecast by a fixed amount per month.
The adjustment table lists all your products with a column for each upcoming month. Each cell has an adjustment type that controls how its value is applied to the forecast:
Total — sets the forecast for that month to an absolute quantity
Difference — adds or subtracts from the existing forecast for that month
Cells in the table can have different types. Select the Adjustment type before entering values — the selected type is applied to whichever cells you edit. To use a mix of types, save and change the adjustment type between edits. The calculation for each cell is shown beneath its value.
Adjustments persist between sessions and remain in place until you change or clear them. Changes save automatically.
