Reconnect your B2B and RMA custom domains

Reconnect your B2B and RMA custom domains

Cin7 Core has moved to a new custom domain system. If you previously set up a custom domain using the SSL certificate upload method, each of your custom domains will stop working on December 1, 2026. You need to reconnect each one using the new DNS-based method.

The new setup is simpler — Cin7 Core generates the DNS records for you, and there is no SSL certificate to manage.

B2B and RMA portals no longer support apex custom domains with any extension — for example, b2b.com, b2b.co.uk, and b2b.co.au.

If any of your custom domains are apex domains, add a subdomain with your DNS provider (eg, shop.b2b.com) before reconnecting your custom domain. Talk to your IT team for support.

Before you start

  • B2B Portal custom domain or RMA Portal custom domain

  • Access to your domain registrar's DNS settings

  • If you previously used an apex domain, you will need to create a subdomain at your registrar before proceeding

  • If you have more than one B2B or RMA custom domain, repeat these steps each

Step 1: Remove your existing custom domain

  1. Go to Integrations → Cin7 Core B2B Portal or Cin7 Core RMA Portal.

  2. Open your portal.

  3. Open the General tab and go to Custom domain.

  4. Click Remove custom domain and confirm.

Step 2: Get your new DNS records from Cin7 Core

  1. In the Custom domain (URL) field, enter your custom subdomain.

  2. Click Set custom domain.

Cin7 Core displays a TXT record and a CNAME record. Keep this page open because you'll need both values in the next step.

Step 3: Add the records to your DNS provider

Log in to your DNS provider and add both records shown in Cin7 Core to your domain's DNS zone.

  • The TXT record lets Cin7 Core verify that you own the domain.

  • The CNAME record points your domain to your B2B portal.

The exact steps vary by provider. Check your provider's documentation or contact their support if you need help. If you have more than one B2B or RMA custom domain, repeat these steps each.

Step 4: Wait for verification

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate, though they usually take effect within a few hours. Once Cin7 Core verifies both records, your domain status changes to Active and your portal becomes accessible at your custom domain.

If the status shows Failed, check that both records were added correctly and that the values match exactly what Cin7 Core displayed.
