Finished Products Wastage Report

Waste arising in production processes can have a significant effect on profitability. This report compares expected production quantities of finished products and components with actual production quantities, showing wastage of finished products and components as an amount and as a percentage of the total.

This report measures wastage of finished products defined in a Production BOM. Intermediate products (inputs/outputs) do not appear in this report.

Users can have read-only or full access to these reports with the Production Reports permission.

This report can be scheduled to run automatically in the Report Scheduling module and delivered to your inbox.

Prerequisites

Data from this report can be exported in Excel, PDF or RTF format or saved to Google Drive.

Input:

Reporting Period	Allows the user to select the reporting period from a list of options or set a custom date range. Date range is defined by Required by Date of the Production Order.
Layout	Set to the Default layout. Allows selection of saved layouts, if any.
Save Layout As	Allows saving a layout for potential future use.
Reset Layout	Resets the layout to the default layout or selected saved layout.

Select Apply Filter to set filter fields for the report and Update to refresh the output with any new changes. See Managing Cin7 Core Reports - Filtering Reports for more detailed information about using filters.

The following output fields are available for this report. You may have to open the Configure Layout menu to add some of them to your report.

Fields
Production Order #	Production Order number.
SKU	Product SKU.
Product	Product name.
Type	Product Type: Finished Product or Component.
Production Run #	Production Run number.
Status	Production Run status: In Progress or Completed.
Location	Shopfloor location of the Production Order.
Notes	Production notes taken from Comments field from Production Order .
Year	Year of the production Required by date.
Quarter	Quarter of the production Required by date.
Month	Month of the production Required by date.
Category	Poduct category.
Brand	Product brand.
Unit	Product unit of measure.
Family	Product family.
Tags	Comma-separated tags of the finished product.
Version	Bill of Material version number. Applies only to Production and Make to Order BOM. Default version is marked.
Product Additional Attribute 1-10	Values of product additional attributes.
Production Additional Attribute 1-10	Value of additional production attributes.
Data Headers
Expected Quantity	The expected quantity produced or consumed of the product defined in the Production BOM.
Actual Produced/Consumed	Finished product Output (excluding Wastage) entered by the user at the end of the production operation. If product is a component, the actual quantity consumed.
Total Produced/Consumed	Total finished product Output (including Wastage) entered by the user at the end of the production operation. If product is a component, the actual quantity consumed. This is an autocalculated value during production.
Wastage	Units of discarded finished product or component from the production process.
Wastage %	(Wastage quantity / Total Produced or consumed quantity) x 100
