Binding a Custom Domain Name to a B2B portal
You can use your own domain name for your B2B portal instead of the default address. Cin7 Core generates the DNS records you need. Add them at your DNS provider to verify ownership and point the domain to your portal. Only one custom domain per B2B portal is allowed.
Before you start
B2B Portal subscription
A custom domain purchased from a domain registrar (for example, Namecheap, GoDaddy, or Google Domains)
Your custom domain must be a subdomain, not an apex domain (for example, shop.b2b.com not b2b.com)
Step 1: Get your DNS records from Cin7 Core
Go to Integrations → Cin7 Core B2B Portal and select your store.
Open General and go to Custom domain for portal.
Enter your subdomain into the Custom domain (URL) field.
Click Set custom domain.
Cin7 Core displays a TXT record and a CNAME record. Keep this page open because you'll need both values in the next step.
Step 2: Configure the DNS
Log in to your DNS provider and add both records shown in Cin7 Core to your domain's DNS zone.
The TXT record lets Cin7 Core verify that you own the domain.
The CNAME record points your domain to your B2B portal.
The exact steps for adding records vary by provider. Consult your provider's documentation or support if you're unsure.
Once added, you can confirm the change has propagated using dig (Mac Terminal) or nslookup (Windows Command Prompt). DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate, though they often take effect within a few hours.
If you need to update your custom domain in future, remove the existing one in Cin7 Core and repeat this process.
