Sales Order Associated Products / Alerts

Is there anything that can be done to show an alert message or associated product/s when adding certain product/s to a sales order?

Example: Add product ‘Water Softener’ to a sales order, an alert messages appears with ‘Don’t for get the hoses, part #512030'

or Example: Add product ‘Water Softener’ to a sales order, a list of associated product/s appear.  Click on them and they are added to the sales order.
