Mobile Sales Order Access
The company I work for is a “Service Based” company that has multiple technicians on the road daily performing maintenance at different accounts. During this routine maintenance, they will install, replace, add, or simply use various inventory products which need to be sold to the customers. In our particular situation, we bill the customers monthly for their recurring service bill along with any materials used throughout the month.
Adding a feature for mobile technicians to remotely access sales orders offers them the ability to update the order for each account as the month progresses which would allow us to keep track of what has been taken to each account and still give us the functionality to send one bill per month to each customer.
This would be a massive improvement for us a service company. Currently, Sales Orders can be updated and saved from the web browser before authorizing, which leads me to believe that it should be fairly simple to add to the WMS app, or even the POS app.
I frequently use Zapier to facilitate many transactions within Cin7 Core, this may be an alternative route to achieve the same goal. There is currently no “action” within Zapier allowing me to update line items on a sales order, or I would have already made this. If adding my suggestion to either of the Cin7 apps is not feasible, adding the above mentioned action to Zapier would help me to achieve the same goal.
