WMS App: Maintain Scroll Position on Picking List After Authorization

Summary: Currently, in the WMS App, when a user picks and authorizes an item from the picking list during stock transfers or sales order picking, the screen automatically scrolls back to the top of the list. This requires the user to manually scroll down to continue picking the next item, which can be time-consuming, inefficient, and prone to errors.

Proposed Enhancement: Implement a feature that retains the user's scroll position on the picking list after an item is picked and authorized. This would allow the picker to seamlessly continue selecting the next item without unnecessary scrolling, improving the overall accuracy and efficiency of the picking process.

User Benefit:

  • Increased Efficiency: Eliminates the need to repeatedly scroll down the list, saving time and reducing frustration during the picking process.
  • Improved Accuracy: Reduces the likelihood of picking errors by maintaining focus on the current section of the list, helping to ensure that items are picked in the correct order.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Provides a smoother, more intuitive workflow by keeping the picker’s attention on the relevant items in the list.

    In WMS > Pick > It displays the list of items to Pick in the main screen, in Alpha-Numerical Order of the Bin location.

    Example

    • Order contains 10 different products to Pick.
    • You select the first product on that list (since it's ordered by bin location)
    • It opens the next screen, where you scan the product again (or more if the quantity is higher than 1)
    • It will then return to the home screen, where that item is now moved onto the bottom of the pick list and marked green (as its completed)
    • The screen position is always at the top, where it remaining items are yet to be picked at also at the top (alpha-numerically by bin location)

    I'm not sure why you're saying the “This would allow the picker to seamlessly continue selecting the next item without unnecessary scrolling"…. we definitely don't scroll to pick the next item. 

    It sounds like that after you've picked an item, your WMS does not move that item to the bottom of the pick list? Do you have Advanced Warehouse Management WMS or Standard WMS? Maybe that is why it is different?
