Product Discount / Deal - spend x£ get free gift automatically

Good morning,

Is there a possibility to create new type of discount type which would populate free gift automatically into sales order based on condition set in deal? 

Currently we have following types of discounts available : Simple, Quantity based, Free shipping.

We would like to have an option to add automatically free product into sales order based on the spend value. At the moment we drive it through simple 100% discount however this is not automatic solution, and it requires human interaction to add particular ,,free product,, onto sales order and press apply discount button.
