Viewing Stock on Hand for Family products on B2B storefront

We would like to view stock on hand at the SKU level while also displaying products in a Family Matrix / List format. I note that the “show Stock on Hand” setting shows for the Family total, not by SKU.  We don't want products in a Family to be displayed individually as it crowds the display too much - not very user friendly.
