Inventory Value Reports

Having inventory values of raw materials and finished goods is a basic accounting function that everyone needs.  I need to journal entry the values in each month against COGS, and there is no report that I can specify an ending date.  For example, would love to know what those values are on 3/31/24, but I'd have to run a Stock Value Aging Report that give me values for 30 days, 60 days, etc.  That doesn't help me if it is 9/15/24, and I need the information.  I have to wait until 9/30/24, then run the report and work backwords to figure out 3/31/24 value.
