WMS Feature Request - Number of orders per pick - Additional Setting Required

Chris

In Cin7 > Integrations > Warehouse application configuration. For the option;

  • Number of orders per pick

Let's pretend this number is set to 10.

  • We have 24 Sale Orders that have been scheduled in Cin7
  • On the WMS, we complete 2x Pick Rounds of 10 Sale Orders.
  • There are 4 remaining Sale Orders to PICK on the WMS
  • At the moment, we cannot select and PICK the last 4 orders on the WMS, because the WMS will error saying that we need to select 10 Sales Orders.
  • But we don't have another 10 Sale Orders that can be scheduled
  • We simply need to finish the remaining orders for the day, we're not going to leave the 4 sitting there not being finished whilst the warehouse team wait for another 6 orders.

Could you please add an additional tick box underneath the ‘Number of orders per pick’

  • “When the remaining scheduled orders, is less than, the set number of orders per pick above, allow user to decide”
  • Currently, to finish the remaining 4 units, we need to keep updating the “number of orders per pick” to match the remaining scheduled Sales Orders left to complete. That is not very good at all as every single day we'll be needing to update the setting multiple times!

Side Note

  • If someone from Cin7 thinks or suggests, that we can just use “Sale order picking scheduled” = ALL, we cannot.
  • If we use it, it creates a new problem. The problem is ALL sale orders will now be shown on the WMS > Pick
  • We CANNOT ‘deschedule’ orders / stop them from showing on the WMS > Pick screen
  • There are times where a customer may place an order, but instruct us NOT to ship until a week later (for example - they've purchased whilst on holiday and won't be home to receive it). There are other times where we may want to hold an order to confirm an address or fraud etc.
  • I'm certain we're not the only ones that need this additional setting :)

    Can we please get an update on this, surely we are not the only one's facing this limitation at the moment? Or?

    We cannot process orders in an orderly manner without having to;

    1. Check the remaining Sale Orders that are scheduled
    2. If it is less than the set quantity, then change the backend WMS settings to match the remaining scheduled orders
    3. Once completed, revert the backend WMS settings back to the original quantity (to match the totes quantity on a trolley)
    4. Repeat the process two times a day, indefinitely.

    Considering multi-pick is/may be used by everyone and not a specific to us alone, I think this problem could be sorted fairly easily. In the meantime, I'd like to hear what other cin7 core users are doing for this issue, because at the moment we're constantly updating the backend settings through a warehouse team member which isn't great, as we don't want staff having to fiddling in the settings area daily in the case of accidentally changing other settings.

    Any updates on this? You guys won't be able to see us doing this daily, because changing the quantity is not logged in Audit Reports, but it is an ongoing daily issue.
