Additional Attributes for specific batch/serial number, modifiable over time

I am inspired to re-post this because I have prospective Cin7 Core businesss who needs catch-weight / variable weight products.
Catch-Weight/Variable Weight products are a specific example of a more general feature which would be additional attributes that applies to a specific batch/serial number of a given product. And preferably the attribute is modifiable at any time - not just set at the time of receiving/production (the way batch/serial# is limited now).
The additional-attributes-that-applies-to-a-specific-batch/serial-number-that-is-modifiable-over-time would not just apply to variable weight products. There are certain products (especially food products) which change over time in terms of weight, flavor, color, etc.
Examples of this are salumi, maple syrup, beer, and cheese. Being able to have modifiable attributes by batch/serial number would be a huge benefit for these sorts of businesses. Salumi reduces in weight as it ages. Maple syrup changes its color its over time. There are many other food and beverage examples and I do not doubt in other industries as well.

Have run into another instance where this feature would be very helpful:
When doing Quality Assurance of received stock, the typical solution is to use separate virtual locations. But this complicates matters when using the MRP, not to mention other challenges created by having lots of stock transfers.
A better way would be to be able to have an attribute for the given batch that it had passed QA, with a checkbox, and/or date passed, and/or notes, etc.
