WMS - Pick - Expand Collapse Not Being Displayed for BOM items
Can someone at Cin7 fix the issue stated below…
Scenario 1 - The expand/collapse button on the WMS > Pick, is displayed when…
- The product is a BOM
- The product has auto-assembly/kit on
- There is enough stock of the individual items listed in the bom, at the time the order was imported into Cin7. It will auto-create and auto-complete the assembly task, which results in creating the BOM stock.
- You schedule the SO to the WMS
- The Expand/Collapse button is displayed on the WMS > Pick task.
- This works great and is fine.
Scenario 2 - The expand/collapse button on the WMS > Pick, is not displayed when…
- The product is a BOM
- The product has auto-assembly/kit on
- There is not enough stock of the individual items listed in the bom, at the time the order was imported into Cin7. No auto-create and auto-complete of the assembly task is completed. Instead the sale order status is now ‘backordered’
- Time goes by, and you end up receiving more stock of the individual items that are listed in the BOM list (through a PO)
- You then complete the “Reorder Backordered” task for these ‘backordered’ Sale Orders
- The “Reorder Backordered” task creates “Assembly jobs” with a ‘draft’ status
- You electronically complete these ‘draft’ assembly jobs, which results in creating the BOM stock.
- You schedule the SO to the WMS
- The Expand/Collapse button is not displayed on the WMS > Pick task, even though its a BOM product.
Can you please fix the above scenario so that the expand / collapse appears in both scenarios?
There is no difference when;
- Scenario #1 - The system auto-completed the assembly job to create the BOM
- Scenario #2 - The system auto-created the assembly job as a draft (via reorder backordered) and we complete them electronically
- In both scanerios, the BOM is assembled “electronically” and not “physically”.
- We literally cannot pick a BOM product, when Scenario 2 occurs, as the WMS is not showing the button, to allow the user to pick the individual items which make up the BOM.
