Improvement to Bulk Updating Inventory; both within Cin7 and File Import.
We'd like to request to following improvements.
Inventory or Pricelist Bulk Editing function from within Cin7 Core.
- similar to how Shopify or Tradegecko use. Makes surgical style bulk updating far more efficient. Being able to target group edits.
- the ability to filter and edit certain products or fields only (i.e names, tags, or pricing etc etc), without having to export entire database - edit - reimport.
Bulk File Import (.csv);
- ability to map or choose fields only to import / update (without having to maintain the entire Cin7 spreadsheet).
- ability to update on product level only, without product family influencing.

This would be great. We would use this every month
Please, please allow CSV import with only the updated columns. Importing all columns is highly risky and error prone. (e.g. every time you use CSV export/import you need to remember to reformat the barcode column else you end up with garbage in your entire product catalog which would be disastrous. At best is a nuisance to do every time.)
I double those requests.
1- Bulk editing makes it easy for the average none techie user to be editing fields in bulk without CSV imports which can ruin everything.
2- CSV imports: To update only the columns that need to be changed is a life saver, I fell into this trap myself multiple times and it messed up the whole product catalog.
I highly request these feature improvements. it is unbelievable that it is SOOOO easy to screw up all the products because of the way family updates overwrite many product fields with no warning. The rework is astonishing to fix the mess. I can't believe there is not a way to do this more intelligently. Using CSV instead of a direct XLSX file is also a nightmare requiring even more manipulation of large volumes of data.
Of all the CIN7 core features this has got to be one of the most important improvements that could be done. Without a better method we manage our product catalogue OUTSIDE of Cin7 and import it as necessary - but it is sooo risky.
Fix it please.
