Shopify: Orders Not Marked as Shipped in Core After "Pick" and "Pack"
We’ve been facing a recurring issue in the Shopify–Core integration that’s becoming a serious operational bottleneck.
When an order is received from Shopify and fulfilled directly, everything works fine—Core marks the order as “Shipped” as expected. However, if the order is processed through Core by performing the “Pick” and “Pack” steps first, and then marked as fulfilled on Shopify, Core doesn’t mark the order as shipped. This creates a mismatch in the status between Shopify and Core.
As a result, we’re having to manually check and update the status of these orders multiple times per day, just to make sure everything stays in sync. As you know, any process that relies on manual input increases the risk of human error. We’ve already seen this lead to confusion around whether an order has shipped, which impacts both internal operations and customer experience.
I understand this might be the result of how the system is currently designed, and I’m aware of the usual response that "the system is working as intended." But this behavior seems like a gap that’s worth investigating and improving.
Shopify is the central source of truth for many businesses when it comes to order fulfillment. Most SaaS services and 3PL's that we use integrate with Shopify and not Core. In our case, we manage all order shipment updates directly from Shopify and expect that to reflect properly in Core—regardless of whether a “Pick” or “Pack” has been done before.
We’d really appreciate it if this could be reviewed with the product team and considered for a fix or improvement in an upcoming release.

Hi Nader,
thank you for raising your concern and I apologise that our software is not working as you expect it.
By any chance, are you experiencing issues with these orders related to auto assembly products that are fulfilled from Shopify?
