B2B - Out of stock statement customisation / Lead Time statement
We have products within our system that we dropship to customers that we don't stock at business due to space issues. When these products are displayed on the B2B portal the products state ‘Out of stock’.
We want to be able to inform customers that the products are available with a short lead time, but we don't like the red ‘Out of stock’ statement as many of our customers will find other suppliers for the product, or never enquire in the first place.
I think there's a few options that could be implemented:
- Have the ‘Out of stock’ statement be editable. The statement could be edited to a value set in the back back end, e.g ‘Special Order item’ and displayed where the ‘Out of stock’ statement is currently.
- If a lead time is entered into the relevant product it could state the lead time where the ‘Out of stock’ statement is located, e.g ‘5 Day lead time’.

I have posted a similar note for this feature request. Agree 110%, editable statement would help our conversion rates vs “out of stock” in bold red letters.
