Option to Display Quantities Without Decimal Places or Thousand Separators in Purchase Order and Receiving Note Templates

Currently, when printing Purchase Order and Receiving Note templates, quantities below 1000 (e.g., 999) display correctly without decimals using the merge field:

{ MERGEFIELD Quantity \# "#,##0" }

However, for quantities 1000 or above, decimals are unexpectedly displayed despite the specified format.

This behavior occurs even when the global configuration is set, and there’s no available option to enforce quantities to always appear as whole numbers without decimal places or thousand separators across the templates.

We request an enhancement to provide a configuration or formatting option that allows users to:

  • Display quantities as normal numbers (e.g., 1000) without thousand separators or decimals.
  • Apply consistent formatting across all printed templates (Purchase Orders, Receiving Notes, etc.).

This request was submitted on our behalf.

We actually don’t want to remove the thousand separator – that was a misunderstanding.

Our request is only about removing decimal places for QTY fields, regardless of the value.

    What we want:

    QTY displayed as:

    • 1
    • 100
    • 1'000
    • 10'000

    and not as:

    • 1
    • 100
    • 1'000.00
    • 10'000.00

Quantities that represent item counts are almost always integers, so decimal places are unnecessary and visually distracting.

Also, the formatting behaviour should not change based on the order of magnitude – large and small quantities should follow the same integer format with thousand separators and no decimals.
