Exportable Shopify Product Link Codes (Product and Variant codes)

ryanbehnken

Description:
I am requesting the addition of a CSV Export function directly from the Shopify Integration > Catalog and Bulk Listing tabs.
Currently, there is no native way to bulk export the internal mapping that connects a Cin7 Core product to its unique Shopify Product/Variant ID.

The Problem:
Verifying hundreds or thousands of active connections is currently a manual, line-by-line process via the Additional Descriptions or Channels tabs on individual product records. Standard reports like the Inventory List do not include integration-specific GUIDs or Link IDs. This makes auditing large catalogs for incorrectly linked products extremely difficult and error-prone.

Requested Solution:
Add an Export button to the Shopify Integration page that generates a CSV containing: Cin7 SKU, Cin7 Product Name, Shopify Product ID, Shopify Variant ID, Listing Status (Listed/Unlinked/Not Listed) and potentially location mapping.

    Big +1 on this. This is also a pain point I'm experiencing, and having this feature would be a total game-changer.

    It would be a great timesaver to make sure all products are linked between the platforms without having to rely on active SKUs and availability checks. I’d suggest adding a function in Cin7 Core that lets us bulk csv update the linked ID from Shopify so we can map it to another product when necessary. I know there’s the link and download option, but that doesn't always handle the nuances of product families very well.

    I also know that the Cin7 team is working on a mapping feature but it would be great to see the mapping integrity in bulk

    Plus one on this, for Shopify and any other eCommerce integration for that matter.

    Refer also to the request for API access to this data: https://help.core.cin7.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/12632523914127-Read-Shopify-integration-IDs-from-Core-API

    +1 and for API access to these details as well.
    I have a good number of products that appear to be linked to the wrong products in Shopify and there is no way to verify the links as far as I can tell. Nowhere does Cin7 tell you exactly which Shopify product is linked to a particular SKU, what you see in Product Details > Channels always shows the Cin7 SKU even if it's linked to a different Shopify SKU.
    With API access it would be even easier as I could setup a daily job that checks all SKUs and reports any mismatches, better still if we could modify the link via API so I could even fix them automatically.

    @Simon Grason,

    It is possible to identify the Shopify product and variant IDs in Cin7. They are visible on the "Additional descriptions" page of the product, but you need to do it manually for each SKU one by one. See below screenshot.

    I agree that API access would be very very beneficial for automatic checking.

    @Nicholas Noakes,
    You're correct about the IDs, I realised that shortly after posting. However, the Product SKU shown on that screen is only the Cin7 SKU and not the SKU of the product linked in Shopify.

    For example in my case SKU USED-351269 is incorrectly linked to USED-366478 in Shopify, but Cin7 doesn't show the SKU of the linked product.
    The Product ID does match that of the USED-366478, but without going into Shopify and looking for the product ID it's not immediately apparent that the link is incorrect. We absolutely need some way to output the IDs from Cin7 for cross-referencing.

    Or they could just, you know, fix it so this doesn't happen… I don't understand why Cin7 creates a link if the SKUs aren't an exact match in the first place
