Add Retail Value field to Product Stock Level Report
Feature Request:
We would like Cin7 Core to add a Retail Value field to the Product Stock Level Report.
Currently, the report allows us to view stock quantities and cost-related information, but it does not clearly show the total retail selling value of the stock on hand. For a multi-location retail business, this makes it difficult to understand the retail value of inventory held at each store and across the business.
Requested Functionality:
Please add fields to the Product Stock Level Report showing:
Retail Price per item
Retail Value of Stock on Hand, calculated as: Quantity on Hand × Retail Price
The ability to view Retail Value including VAT and excluding VAT
Retail Value by location/outlet
Total Retail Value at the bottom of the report
Business Use Case:
We operate multiple retail locations and regularly need to assess the stock value available in each store. While cost value is useful for accounting purposes, retail value is essential for retail planning and decision-making.
This would help us with:
Understanding the retail value of stock held per store
Comparing stock investment and sales potential across locations
Planning stock transfers and replenishment more effectively
Reviewing stock counts, adjustments, losses and gains at retail value
Supporting seasonal planning and store performance reviews
Current Challenge:
At present, we need to calculate retail stock value outside of Cin7 using exported data. This is time-consuming and increases the risk of reporting errors, especially when working across multiple store locations and large product ranges.
Expected Outcome:
Adding Retail Value to the Product Stock Level Report would provide retailers with a clearer and more practical view of the value of inventory available for sale, without requiring additional manual calculations outside of Cin7.
