Feature Request - Add data to the following reports for Purchase Ordering
Hi Team,
Another feature request / improvement to the reports, mainly in regards to Purchase Orders.
The Task
- Purchase Order → Once a supplier informs us the PO is ready to ship.
- Task → We need to be able to view the SKUs on the PO to our current stock levels at that point in time.
- Reason → We need to make informed decision, as to whether to ship some or all of the PO via Sea Freight or Air Freight (or a combination)
- Example → Say we have a PO that had 100x SKUs on it. Of that 100 skus, we notice that 10 skus have sold out (0 units available). We could then decide to ship only those SKUs via Air Freight, with the remaining 90 skus via Sea Freight. This method lowers our landed cost (there is no point shipping 90 skus via air if our stock quantities are healthy/available) whilst also making those 10 skus more readily available to purchase for customers.
The Problem
- None of Cin7 reports are able to have all the data sets required (Available, On Order, PO) in a single report
Products Reordering Report and Products Stock Level Report
- Good → We can see our Available/Quantity on Hand Stock and On Order stock
- Bad → We cannot filter by Purchase Order → It is our entire SKU database.
- Problem → To individually select 100+ SKUs that may be on a PO is not really viable, as we'd need to check the PO and split screen (you get the point)
Pending Purchase Orders Report and Purchase Order Details Report
- Good → We can filter by PO and Supplier and can view what is On Order
- Bad → We cannot view our Available/Quantity on Hand Stock
Feature Request Below
Add Data Header “PO” to the following reports
- Products Reordering Report
- Products Stock Level Report
- Reason → This would allow us to filter these report by Purchase Order
Add Data Area “Available” for stock quantities, to the following reports
- Pending Purchase Orders Report
- Purchase Order Details Report
- Reason → This would allow us to be able to view current Available Stock for both reports

This type of visibility is vital and it is frustrating when you know the data is all there but you cannot “see” it. I second this request.
This is a very practical feature request. Being able to see the PO, On Order, and Available stock levels in the same report would make purchasing and freight decisions much easier. The ability to filter by a specific PO and immediately identify which SKUs are running low would save a lot of manual work, especially for larger orders. Having an “Available” column in the Pending Purchase Orders and Purchase Order Details reports would also make it much easier to decide which items should be shipped by air versus sea. Hopefully Cin7 can consider adding these fields in a future update. @Basketball Stars
I built a tool using AWS and a CHAPGPT agent for lookup details via the API.
@Wordle Hint Today This would be a really useful improvement. Being able to filter stock reports by PO and see the current Available quantity directly in the PO reports would make it much easier to decide between sea and air freight without manually cross-checking multiple reports. It would definitely save time and help reduce unnecessary shipping costs.
