Cin7 Community  Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Cin7 Community!

The purpose of the Cin7 Community is to create a space where customers, partners, Cin7 employees, and others can come together to contribute to empowering product sellers to thrive (that’s Cin7’s purpose). Cin7 provides the Community as a service to its customers and partners for discussing Cin7 products and connected services by exchanging ideas, tips, information, and techniques related to those products. The Cin7 Community is here for the enjoyment and benefit of all members and is accessible to anyone with access to a Cin7 account.

Like any community, Cin7 Community will be most valuable when everyone follows certain guidelines and rules for online behavior. These guidelines and rules are presented here so that you know what is expected of you and what you can expect from other participants when using the Cin7 Community. By using the Community, you agree to follow the Cin7 Community Code of Conduct (CoC) and to be bound by Cin7’s Terms of Use where applicable.

1. Focus on helping each other become thriving product sellers

For everyone's benefit, keep the conversation constructive and share ideas that have worked well for your product-selling business. When you offer suggestions on how to successfully automate tasks, add connections, customize your Cin7 workflows, or any related topics, be sure to describe how your Cin7 product usage contributes to product sellers being more successful. If you are looking for the Community’s help, describe your business needs or challenges in clear terms – and avoid negative comments – so that everyone can easily understand and help.

2. Keep it relevant

For everyone's benefit, stay on topic. The Cin7 Community is specifically provided to allow product sellers, partners, and users to help each other with Cin7 products. Refrain from discussing personal matters, abusing any company or product, or, in general, posting in a manner unrelated to using Cin7, connection partners, or solutions for becoming a more successful product seller.

3. Keep it courteous

Everyone wants to have a positive experience while using the Cin7 Community, so make sure that you are not detracting from anyone else's experience. In particular, refrain from posting anything unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties. Your opinions are always welcome, but personal attacks and harassment (“flaming” or “trolling”) in either the Cin7 Community or through private messaging is not acceptable.

4. Keep it spam-free

The Cin7 Community is provided as a service to Cin7 customers and partners and is not intended for the promotion of third-party services, products, websites, or organizations. Refrain from posting content that would constitute advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation.

5. Keep it legal

It is unacceptable to post any material (i) that would infringe on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party, (ii) that contains software viruses or any other computer code or files that are designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software or hardware, (iii) that is deemed to be illegal by any local, state, federal, or international law, rule, or regulation, or (iv) that suggests or encourages illegal activity.

6. Be careful

Most people are happy to help out in an online community, but remember that their advice is theirs only and that you are responsible for deciding whether to follow it. If the advice given by a user sounds wrong to you, do not try it. You should not post personal information on the Cin7 Community, including your name and address, age, or phone number. Furthermore, if any user asks you for personal information, such as an account number, address, password, or credit card number, do not provide it.

7. Keep confidential information confidential

You may not use the Cin7 Community to disseminate or discuss any confidential information or personal data about you, your company, Cin7, or any other person or entity. You are solely responsible to ensure that anything you post does not contain information that may be deemed confidential or personal data by a third party. This includes any proprietary information, trade secrets, the terms or existence of Cin7-related agreements, nondisclosure agreements, any data identifying or relating to an individual, or any other information that may be deemed confidential.

8. Cin7 retains the right to remove content and limit users' access

Cin7 does not generally edit or alter content posted by participants in the Cin7 Community. However, Cin7 retains the right, at its sole discretion, to limit users' access to the Cin7 Community and to remove material that, in Cin7's sole judgment, does not comply with the current Cin7 Community Code of Conduct or that is otherwise inappropriate, harmful, objectionable, or inaccurate. Cin7 also retains the right to assign such rights to some members of the Cin7 Community. Cin7 is not responsible for any failure or delay in removing such material. Moderators may take any action they deem necessary in their own judgment to support the Cin7 Community Code of Conduct, and, in general, prohibit content that can detract from the experience of other users or the purpose of the support community. Such actions may include editing or deleting material and banning individual users. Violation of the Cin7 Community Code of Conduct or other terms could result in the suspension or termination of your access to these services. If your Cin7 Community account is suspended, you will not be able to sign in.

9. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

Members like you will provide most of the material in the Cin7 Community. Such third-party content is the sole responsibility of the person originating the material. Cin7 does not control and is not responsible for this third-party material.
