    Hi Chris,

thanks for your feature request.  The good news is that Cin7 is aware of the Shopify resident ID requirements.  This change is already on our near-term roadmap to do.

Since Resident ID a mandatory field to print on shipping labels, our current approach is to append the information onto a field that is guaranteed to print on shipping labels (e.g.: Shipping/Delivery instructions).

I would love to hear your thoughts.

    Hi Guys,

Could you please create a new field in the Header of a SO for "Resident ID Number".

    • This would be mapped from Shopify and transfered into the Cin7 Core SO header
    • From there, we could map that field, to a field on our shipping labels using shipping software
    • Some countries require the Resident ID number to be on the shipping label, otherwise customs will hold up or return the parcel.

    Hi Maylene,

    • Noted, that is good news to hear that it is planned
    • Yes, I think if the “Resident ID Number” from Shopify, is mapped / imported into Cin7 Cores “Shipping Notes” field, then that makes the most logical sense.
    • From there, we can map the "Shipping Notes” field, using shipping software (like StarShipIT) onto the shipping label delivery instructions.

    Hi Chris,

this feature is now available in Cin7 Core.  Shopify orders containing personal ID information (depending on region) are downloaded with our orders (e.g.: Resident ID for China based orders).

For phase1, this information is captured in the ‘Shipping notes’ field as it is a requirement for these international orders to have this information printed on shipping labels.

There will be a later phase where we will surface this information on sales orders in a separate UI field.

    Hi Maylene,

    • Yep, noted.
    • I saw the release note a few weeks back and can confirm it works properly.
    • The shipping notes field is correct spot to put it.

Noted the later phase to be put in a seperate UI field too. That would be only helpful to us, if and when, the shipping providers have a specific area on their shipping labels for Resident ID, which at the moment they do not (for us anyway).
