Production Orders to be triggered by Assembly Order

It would be very useful if production orders could be triggered for products not available in Assembly BOM's. Currently Nested production BOM's are triggered by other Production BOM's but not by Assemblies. I am spending a lot of time manually creating these production BOMs and even then there is no link back to the Assembly BOM and the original sale that triggered it.
