Payments from Shopify

Cin7 Core can capture payments made against orders in Shopify and automatically add payments to an authorized sale invoice. Payments made against unauthorized sale invoices will be kept in Pending orders until the invoice is authorized, then applied on the next sync.

Link Shopify payment methods to payment accounts

You must map payment accounts to map payments automatically to sale invoices. You must map an account that is able to receive payments to each payment processor.

This setting is not mandatory. If payment mapping is not completed, orders are still captured and downloaded from Shopify, but payments must be manually added to invoices in Cin7 Core. Some customers prefer to keep invoices open and then reconcile them with payouts from Shopify.

 

Cash rounding in Shopify POS

Your Shopify order totals are rounded when customers pay in cash in the following countries:

  • Canada

  • Australia

  • New Zealand

  • Switzerland

  • Belgium

  • Finland

  • Denmark

  • Sweden

  • Norway

These currencies no longer use small coins, so Shopify rounds cash payments. This ensures more accurate cash tracking and in-store cash balances in Shopify POS.
