Job Costing Materials Report

Job Costing Materials Report

This report shows materials and stock used on a particular job during the selected time period. It also indicates where this material was purchased if it did not come from inventory already in stock. Use this report to see the quantity and cost of job costing materials.

Only users with the Inventory Reporting permission can access this report.

Prerequisites

 

 

Data from this report can be exported in Excel, PDF or RTF format.

Input:

Reporting Period

Allow user to select the reporting period from a list of options are set custom a custom date range

Layout

Set to the Default layout. Allows selection of saved layouts, if any.

Save Layout As

Allows saving of a layout for potential future use.

Reset Layout

Resets layout to the default layout or selected saved layout.

 

Select Apply Filter to set filter fields for the report and Update to refresh the output with any new changes. See Managing Cin7 Core Reports - Filtering Reports for more detailed information about using filters.

Output:

The following output fields are available for this report. You may have to open the Configure Layout menu to add some of them to your report.

Fields

Job #

Job number.

Customer

Customer name the job is done for.

Date

Date when expense happened.

Job

Job description.

Status

Status of the job.

SKU

SKU of the product spent for the job.

Product

Name of the product spent for the job. This can also be a service/labour item.

Unit

Product unit of measure.

Year

Year of the date when expense happened.

Quarter

Quarter of the date when expense happened.

Month

Month of the date when expense happened.

Tags

Comma-separated product tags.

Category

Product category.

Brand

Product brand.

Family

Product family name.

Address

Job address.

Contact

Job contact details.

Supplier

Supplier from whom materials were bought. Empty for Issue to Production and Finished Goods expenses.

Product Additional Attribute 1-10

Values of product additional attributes.

Data Headers

Quantity

Quantity of SKU used in the job expense.

Price

Product purchase price in base currency.

Tax

Tax if any in base currency.

Total

Total purchase invoice line without tax / Total manufacturing cost of the product. (Price x quantity)

FAQs

Is there a report in Cin7 Core that provide the GP per job? Can Cin7 Core provide information about the actual time spent per job vs budgeted labour per the BOMS?

To get a Profit report for the Jobs made in Cin7 Core, use the the Job Costing Profit & Loss Report at. Unfortunately, we don't keep track of the actual duration (ex. hours) spent per job so we don't provide any report for such but you could get budgeted labour using the Job Costing Materials Report at and combining either the Finished Goods Analysis Report or the Bill of Materials (under Inventory > Products > View All > Export > Bill of Materials).
