FAQs

Why is my product not appearing on this report?

Products only appear on the Product Low on Stock Report if Reorder Quantity is defined and stock level is below minimum reorder quantity. If you have reorder quantities set to specific locations, you must ensure the Minimum Before Reorder field on the product detail screen is not left blank. You can use the Product Reordering report to see all products including those with no minimum reorder quantity specified.

Can you tell me how I would deal with a product that we only required 1 in stock of?

You can add the "Minimum before reorder" value to be as "1". This way it will appear correctly in the Report.

I am trying to run a Products Low on Stock report for the overall company.  However, the report is giving me results by location and not for the company as a whole. I removed the "Location" filter, but it is still not yielding the correct results.

Product low on stock report shows all products which are below the specified reorder point. If reorder point is specified on multiple locations, the product will be shown for multiple locations and not for the company as a whole. This is by design. You can move the Location field to the final column of the report to see required numbers for SKU more clearly.

You may wish to try Product Stock Level Report, Products Reordering report or Product Availability report, which can show company-wide stock

Please tell me why some products are being listed when their 'Available' quantity is greater than the 'Minimum Before Reorder' quantity levels.

This can occur when multiple suppliers are mapped to a single product. If there is more than one supplier, Low on Stock Reorder report will show 1 line per supplier mapped as any one of the supplier can be used to reorder. Make sure the Supplier field is included in the report and take only the quantity per supplier.
