Shopify integration issue with repeating images Answered
The Cin7 integration with Shopify has recently started having an issue with product images being pushed across. Where there are multiple products in a family, the product images added to Shopify are multiplied and repeated for each product. So, for example we have 7 products in the family of Salomon Sense Ride 5 Men’s Shoes, each with largely the same 8 images. This becomes 56 images on the Shopify side. This started happening in early April and was not a problem in the preceding years. Can you please investigate and fix?
Thanks
Doug

Hi Doug,
Thank you for raising your issue. We had to do some Shopify API maintenance work in January as Shopify deprecated its old Products endpoint.
In the new Shopify Products API, Shopify no longer support image names from being sent through. This may have contributed to the behaviour you've seen.
Have you lodged a support case for our team to confirm whether your issue is caused by the above?
Many thanks,
Maylene
Hi Maylene
Appreciate you getting back so quickly. Yes, I raised the support case (#190450). The team recommended I add this as a feature request.
Cheers

Hi Doug,
Thanks for providing your ticket number. Based on the details and examples supplied on the ticket, it appears to be a different issue.
I will follow up with our support team accordingly.
Many thanks,
Maylene
We are deliberately not updating from Cin7 to Shopify (except the automatic stock level) to avoid all of this. All our SEO and image prep is done directly in Shopify.
Nevertheless, it needs to be investigated.
And, the feature request for Option for disabling synching for pricing, product description & images to Shopify (while synching all the rest as currently) will also help this issue.
