Feature Request - Automatic Unique Customer Account Creation Answered

Description:
The user requests the ability for Cin7 Core to automatically create unique customer account numbers/IDs, particularly for large organizations with multiple sub-offices (e.g., HHS with 218 offices in Massachusetts). They need a way to identify each branch while still linking them to the parent organization. The feature should allow retaining existing account numbers or generating new ones, and display these numbers on sales orders. This would simplify locating customer records and resolving issues for both customers and the business.

    Hi Juan,

    there is already a mechnism to link parent and child customers together.

    Currently, the uniqueness for our customer record is the ‘Customer Name’.  The customer ID is assigned by the database when a new record is created and is always unique.
