Feature Request - Sync Actual On-Hand Quantity to Shopify Instead of Assemblable Quantity

Description:
The user would like Shopify to display only the actual on-hand quantity of assembled products, not the total quantity that could be manufactured through auto-assembly. Currently, Shopify shows the maximum possible assemblable quantity, which misrepresents available stock to customers. The request is to maintain auto-assembly but restrict the inventory sync to Shopify so it reflects only the real, physical stock on hand. This would prevent overselling and ensure more accurate customer expectations.

    • I strongly disagree on this statement
    • It 100% correctly shows the available quantities for the BOMs, and it accurately tracks the quantities for both individual skus and bom skus. 
    • The BOMs will show 0 available if an individual item that is required for that BOM has 0 units. I don't understand how you come to the conclusion where you say it prevents “overselling" and "reflects real/physical stock on hand”?

    • This is a contradiction. Why do you want to maintain auto-assembly then? 
    • Auto-assembly → Creates the BOM quantity automatically (electronically not physically), and you use the Expand/Collapse button on the WMS pick to pick the individual items.
    • If you only want to show BOM stock quantities (physically made in advance), then simply untick “auto-assembly/kit” in the BOM tab

    I suggested a third checkbox on Assembly BOMs for “Propagate Inventory” so that it can be independently controlled instead of being directly linked to the Auto-Assembly option.
