ForesightAI sales forecast graph

ForesightAI sales forecast graph

The sales forecast graph shows ForesightAI’s demand predictions for up to the next 24 months, alongside the historical data used for forecasting, your projected inventory levels, and your safety stock threshold.

Use the graph to verify forecast accuracy, identify demand peaks, spot when your inventory is at risk of a stockout, and make manual adjustments to your forecast.

Before your start

  • You have set up ForesightAI.

  • ForesightAI requires at least 6 months of sales history in Cin7 Core.

Open the sales forecast graph

The sales forecast graph is part of Smart Reorder:

  1. Go to Purchases > Smart Reorder.

  2. Open Sales Forecast.

Filters and data type

Use filters to view the forecast for specific areas of your business:

  • Location

  • Supplier

  • Category

  • Product

Use the data type control to review the forecast in units sold or revenue:

  • Quantity — shows forecast and historical sales as units sold

  • Value — shows forecast and historical sales revenue

The graph refreshes automatically when you change a filter or data type.

Read the graph

The graph combines four data series:

  • Sales history — your historical monthly sales

  • Sales forecast — ForesightAI's predicted monthly sales, based on your sales history

  • Inventory forecast — your projected inventory level, calculated by ForesightAI from your sales forecast, purchase orders, and current on-hand and in-transit stock

  • Safety stock — the buffer stock level ForesightAI recommends you maintain to absorb uncertainty in supplier lead times and forecast accuracy

You can also:

  • Select a series in the legend to show or hide it

  • Hover over any bar to see the figures for that period

Adjust the forecast

If you know your sales will differ from ForesightAI's prediction, you can apply a manual forecast adjustment by clicking Forecast adjustments.

The sales forecast graph will update to reflect new adjustments after the next sync. Sales forecasts update every 24 hours.
