Smart reorder suggestions

Use your sales history to generate smart reorder suggestions that maximize your inventory health. Avoid stockouts, keep your best-selling products available at all times, reduce overstocked inventory, and avoid buying products that aren't selling.

Prerequisites

  • This is a Cin7 ForesightAI report and requires an add-on to your subscription.

  • ForesightAI reports require at least 3 months of sales history in Cin7 Core.

View smart reorder suggestions

Use Smart reorder to see which of your items should be purchased from suppliers, transferred from other locations, or assembled from components to meet forecast customer demand.

  1. Access the smart reorder view from the main menu then select Purchase → Smart reorder.

  2. The smart reorder suggestions page shows suggested purchases, transfers, or assembly orders.

  • Purchase: Reorder replenishment product quantity from one or more suppliers. This can be filtered by location and supplier. Other products from the selected supplier location that are within 7 days of their reorder date will also be listed here. See reorder suggested purchases.
  • Transfer: Reorder stock from another location in your organization. See reorder suggested transfers.

  • Assembly: Reorder items with an assembly BOM by creating an assembly order for those items. See reorder suggested assembly orders.

Select Forecast and settings to go to your Inventoro account, adjust your settings, and view your full forecast.

Reorder suggested purchases

Create new purchase orders from the list of suggested purchases.

  1. Select the reorder period or enter a custom date range.

  2. Select Purchase as the reorder type.

  3. Select All suppliers to view all available suppliers, or limit the suggestions to a single supplier at a time. If a single supplier is selected, you will have the option to add reordered products to existing unauthorized purchase orders with that supplier.

  4. From the Locations list, select either All locations to view all products requiring reorder at all of your locations, or limit the suggestions to a single location.

  5. Optionally, to group orders together, enable Merge suggestions.

  6. Click Generate suggestions to see recommended orders. All SKUs who have reached their reorder threshold will be shown here. Other products from the same supplier and supplier location that are within 7 days of their reorder date will also be listed here.

  7. Check the box next to an SKU to mark it for reorder.

  8. Click Reorder to create or amend draft purchase orders and add them to the reorder summary.

  9. Authorize the new purchase orders to complete the reorder.

     

Reorder suggested transfers

Create new transfers from other locations in your organization.

  1. Select the reorder period or enter a custom date range.

  2. Select Transfer as the reorder type.

  3. Select a location to order from or select All locations.

  4. From the Destination location list, select either All locations to view all products requiring reorder, or limit the suggestions to a single organization location.

  5. Enable Merge suggestions to group orders together if required.

  6. Click Generate suggestions to see recommended orders.

  7. Check the box next to an SKU to mark it for reorder.

  8. Click Reorder to confirm and add draft transfer orders to the reorder summary.

  9. Authorize the new transfer orders to complete the reorder.


Reorder suggested assembly orders

Create new assembly orders for assembled products, including their components, and any nested assemblies. This does not include production orders.

  1. Select the reorder period or enter a custom date range.

  2. Select Assembly as the reorder type.

  3. From the Locations list, select either All locations to view all products requiring reorder, or limit the suggestions to a single organization location. This will show all assembly products available for reorder.

  4. Check the box next to an SKU to mark it for reorder.

  5. Click Reorder to confirm and add draft assembly orders to the reorder summary.

  6. Authorize the new assembly orders to complete the reorder. If the item contains other assemblies as components, assembly orders will also be created for these also if your production process settings allow this.
