Feature Request – Advanced Functionality – Improved International Logistics Documentation for Inbound Shipments and Stock Transfers

We would like to request additional mergefields and improved packing list support for Stock Transfer templates, especially for international shipments and proforma invoicing.

Requested mergefields for Stock Transfer templates

Please add merge fields for the following product-level data:

• Average Cost
• HS Code
• Weight
• Volume

These fields are essential for generating accurate proforma invoices for international stock transfers, especially when transferring goods between entities or warehouses across borders.

Use case

For international stock transfers, we need to create proforma invoices and customs documentation directly from Cin7. Currently, important product information such as HS Code, weight, volume and average cost is either unavailable or difficult to include automatically in Stock Transfer templates. This creates unnecessary manual work, increases the risk of errors, and makes customs/shipping documentation harder to standardize.

Packing list functionality

In addition, we would like to request proper Packing List generation functionality for Stock Transfers that can include assigned weight and volume per item, package or shipment.

Ideally, this should allow users to generate a packing list directly from the Stock Transfer, including:

• SKU / product name
• Quantity
• HS Code
• Unit weight
• Total weight
• Unit volume
• Total volume
• Assigned package/carton information, where applicable

This would be very helpful for logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance and internal warehouse handovers.

Business impact

This would make Cin7 significantly more useful for companies managing international inventory movements, customs documentation, and cross-border supplier networks. It would reduce manual work, improve data accuracy and allow users to generate more complete logistics documents directly from Cin7.
